2013/08/27: Hearing Things

The hearing I've been mentioning came and went. It was a really informal thing; there was just me and two other people. The woman representing the benefits-givers didn't have a lawyer because it was basically an airtight case against me; I didn't have a lawyer for exactly the same reason. But I did my best to make my case, and the person in the role of the judge said that she had her own queue of stuff to go through but she was probably going to get back to me within 30 days. (I'm guessing it'll be something like ... "oh right, the guy who had an airtight case against him due to red-tape technicalities despite his actual life situation, DENIED." But, you never know, which is why I was there in the first place.)

In the meantime, I'm still gonna be working my way through finding a job; apart from one or two local part-time things, I'm finding all KINDS of positions that would require a car. (Don't worry, I'm aware that if the headline a job-listing-website sounds like an advertisement like "MAKE $500 A MONTH AT HOME" instead of i.e. "PT delivery person wanted" or "need painter ASAP", it's automatically spam.) I think I'll also try to get town-level welfare, which is a thing in New Hampshire.

So, yeah, that's pretty much it for now.

EDIT: Oh yeah, the other thing I have to report is that the landlady decided to revoke her decision to make an exception to the "no bikes indoors" rule for me; her reasoning was that more people had bikes and wanted to bring them indoors. Which I think is kinda lousy, but what can you do? So I'm just locking it outside with everyone else's again, in the rain, since nobody can think of any better system. Oh well, I guess ...
