MASHA: Say, um ... can fairies change size or something? DAIYOUSEI: Hmm? Wait a minute ... did you shrink? MASHA: Huh? DAIYOUSEI: Yeah, you definitely expanded to your normal size and then shrank back again. You're closer to Cirno's size now. MASHA: W-wha!? I thought you were the one changing size! DAIYOUSEI: It's either you, or the world changed with you. Hmm. Have you been doing something with your own energy lately? MASHA: N-no ...?

My guess is that Masha uses part of her own substance when she launches a mushroom bomb. she was larger inside the fairy ring do to more mushroom mass.
She shrank when she left. Possibly getting smaller from creating the ring in the first place.
