Touhou Nekokayou: Scarlet Weather Archive in Japanese Red #118

First Previous Random Next Latest

Characters: Remilia Scarlet, Sakuya Izayoi, The ORIGINAL Three Fairies, Flandre Scarlet, Koishi Komeiji, Kisume

So, yeah. There's pretty much no way I was gonna try to come up with a compelling sequel to comic #59 just because it's been another 59 comics since then. I will make a perfunctory remark to the effect that all the characters appearing in this comic, and all except Shanghai and Ruukoto in that comic, have been updated in create.swf.

At the insistence of a particular MotK-goer, I decided I'd make a comic involving buckets. And here it is! Just usual shenanigans involving Kisume being herself. (Or at least, herself as she is in this comic, and since she has no canonical characterization whatsoever ...) That's really all there is to say about that.

The Outside World book Sakuya referred to is Life, the Universe, and Everything, and recipriversexclusions are an important part of bistromathics (a form of interstellar travel involving the nonabsoluteness of mathematics in restaurants). I used the term because I couldn't quite remember the phrase "obey the inscrutable exhortations of your soul." (Create.swf Adventure is the new major project I have on my hands these days, by the way. So yeah.)

Transcript

  1. (Remilia is standing in a hallway in the SDM in her adult form, sending a group of harried-looking maid-fairies off somewhere.)
Remilia: Excellent! Now head to the West Hall! I trust there will be no problems there, yes?
  2. (Sakuya comes up behind her.)
    Sakuya: Enjoying yourself, Milady?
Remilia: Ah, Sakuya! Yes, I can certainly see why you direct the fairies without complaint! I'm enjoying this form, too!
  3. (Meanwhile, Flandre (in her older form) and Koishi invisibly sneak by, both of them cheerfully blushing and wearing each other's clothes.)
Sakuya: Yes ... an adult form certainly has its advantages ... Though as for the other, I still have to do most of the *actual* work.
Remilia: And yet you *still* don't complain, and that's why I love having you as my head maid!
  4. (Sakuya looks past Remilia.)
Sakuya: But speaking of me having to do all the work, I think one of us is about to have to exert our authority.
    Remilia: Hmm ...? Oh!
  5. (They come across Star Sapphire doing nothing in particular around a bunch of buckets.)
    Star: .....
    Remilia: Ahem.
  6. (Star jerks back in fright.)
Star: Ah! M-Miss Remilia and Miss Sakuya!
Remilia: (darkly, but smiling) Get your two *friends*, fill these buckets, and *clean* something with them, would you?
  7. (Kisume suddenly pops out of one of the buckets as Star Sapphire zips away at top speed.)
Kisume: Hey, don't be fillin' *this* bucket, though!
Remilia: What!? Why are you ... what ... Where do I even begin!?
  8. (Remilia and Kisume start to rise into the air.)
Kisume: Oh, I am only following the recipriversexclusions of my mind and soul!
    Remilia: I ... the *what*!?
Sakuya: It's from an Outside World book. It's a number that can only be defined as being anything other than itself.
  9. (Further down the hall, the Three Fairies are watching this. Star Sapphire just watches mutely.)
Remilia: (off-panel) That certainly fits *this* kid -- Augh!
    Kisume: (off-panel) BOMBS AWAY!
    Sakuya: Milady!!
Luna Child: So, uh ... Are we gonna get any work done today?
    SFX: Hoping "no"!
    Sunny Milk: Uhhhhmmmmmmmmmmm no.

First! Great work Muffin!

CapedLuigisYoshi

Kisume gets away with being batguano insane, since she's Nazrin Kisume~.

...What do you mean by "The ORIGINAL Three Fairies"?

sRc

ahh, Life, The Universe, and Everything. I haven't read that book since I was in Jr. High, I think. over ten years ago.

now if you'll excuse me, I have to go throw myself at the ground and miss, because I have to be somewhere

Bocaj

I'd wonder how Kisume got there but the explanation would probably blow my mind.

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

@CapedLuigisYoshi: Absolutely nothing.

@Bocaj: I considered the idea of providing the explanation that she can travel between buckets, thus forcing Sakuya to play whack-a-mole with her, but I decided not to.

CapedLuigisYoshi

...That would be AWESOME, though! (Not quite rainbow-colored AWESOME, but close.)

chimi

I'm just gonna blame Koishi anyway.

Hunter 1

...Is Flan having perverted thoughts (or whatever qualifies as perverted for her), or is there some other reason she's blushing?

Zemyla

I have to agree with @CapedLuigisYoshi, mystic bucket travel would be awesome. It also means she can randomly show up at Eientei and the Hakurei shrine.

Also, I am imagining Kisume's "Bombs away" to be her diving forward and trying to whack Remilia and/or Sakuya in the face. Kisume is obviously Wriggle's protege.

ganbaru

Am I the only one than noticed than Koichi and Flandre exchanged their clothes ?

-ED

@Ganbaru: Yes. Good catch.

gamemjoe

I love Kisume. Also, holy shit Remi and Flandre are adults. I likey.

Shinku tsuki

Lol...Koishi and Flandre changed their clothes...
...*blush* OMG...
I wonder how will Remilia react when she sees this...

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

@gamemjoe: Hey, it's not like it's the first time ...

@Shinku Tsuki: Going by past results, I'd say "badly."

Kitsune Inari

@sRc: Well, "throwing yourself at the ground and missing" is pretty much the concept of being in orbit :P

@Zemila: Bombs away! XD

Ozimul

I just noticed that Flandre and Koishi swapped outfits whilst being sneaky. XD

Regal

Recipriversexcluson, not -sion.

sRc

@Kitsune Inari:

hmm... just to check, have you read Life, The Universe, and Everything?
