- Narration Box: Meanwhile, in the Scarlet Devil Mansion ...
(Lily White is nervously meeting Sakuya and Remilia in the SDM.)
Remilia: (with a bit of a smirk) So you were blasted by the Witch even before you left the forest or she even knew you were working here? That's got to be a new record.
Sakuya: (frowning) Hmm.
Lily White: Aheheheheh ... - Narration Box: Misty Lake, at sunset.
(Misty Lake, at sunset.)
Cirno: (flying into view) MISTY LAKE, AT SUNSET!
Daiyousei: (approaching from the other direction) What's up, Cirno? - Cirno: Daiyousei! I will defeat you and take revenge on those three stupid fairies for knocking my house down!
Daiyousei: Um ... what does fighting *me* have to do with revenge on three fairies who are entirely unrelated to us? - (Cirno poses, with a just-plane-nuts grin. Star Sapphire arrives from the other direction.)
Cirno: Because this atmosphere ... it smells of WAR!
Daiyousei: All right, it's time to cut down on your sugar intake again.
Star Sapphire: Did somebody mention war!? - Star Sapphire: I *thought* you'd come back to your home base. Luna says you declared war on us! So why d'you want to fight other fairies?
Cirno: Aha! It is revenge for knocking my house down! And so I, Cirno, will knock *you* all down!
Daiyousei: (furiously) Don't encourage her!! - (Daiyousei storms off with a ಠ_ಠ "disapproval" face.)
Star Sapphire: Yeah, it was Sunny's idea to try and get your cooperation by force.
Cirno: Using the Force for cooperation? For what?
Star Sapphire: We're going to terrorize human society, using only the POWER OF FAIRIES! - (Shadowy silhouette of Star Sapphire, Sunny Milk, and Luna Child looking ominous.)
Evil Star Sapphire Silhouette: Individually, fairies are weak -- mere annoyances to be brushed aside by enemies.
Evil Star Sapphire Silhouette: But collectively, we are the embodiments of nature itself! If enough of us band together, we will become simply UNSTOPPABOOBLE!
Evil Star Sapphire Silhouette: So, how about it? Are you in? - (Back at the lake. A shadow of something presumably very high up floats in behind Cirno.)
Cirno: Sounds like a pretty cool idea ... but I wanna change one thing.
Star Sapphire: What do you wanna change? - (The two of them face off in front of the pre-battle interface-captions again. Cirno brandishes her sword.)
Text: SPELL CARD SET!

Cirno: The part where I can take on all the humans by myself, after I have my revenge! I don't need you guys!
Star Sapphire: You're just writing off cooperation like that?
Text: CIRNO: FAIRY OF FROZEN FROG VS STAR SAPPHIRE: LIGHT POURING STARS ... or something - (Daiyousei comes down and hits both of them over the head with frying pans.)
TEXT: ROUND DRAW: DOUBLE KO
SFX: KLANG

(An "Achievement Notification" appears. The icon is two Cirnos bumping their heads together.)

1When I make the next comic, 10D's post-release age will be eight or nine times older than it is at the time of this writing. This is a rather odd thing to think about. (Well ... only three or four times, due to the delay, but ...)
2I'm going to leave the other thing about panel 7 unsaid, just to see if anyone else gets it on their own.

I think what I've found the most enjoyable about the story so far is the fact that Cirno hasn't actually defeated any of the enemies They've all been taken out by third or even fourth-party interference... xD

@Muffin: Silhouetted as they are in panel 7, it seemed to me that the Three Fairies had a certain resemblance to the bosses from the Ten Desires demo: Star Sapphire as Yuyuko (grin like a hungry shark - admittedly that's fanon Yuyuko, but this is the weakest of the three), Sunny Milk as Kyouko (ponytails matching Kyouko's floppy ears), and Luna Child as Yoshika (outstretched arms, like a zombie - or Rumia).
But from your reaction, I guess that wasn't intentional. Also, I initially thought Yuyuko had longer hair; as I was wrong about that, the comparison to Star pretty much collapses at that point.

Yes, it is indeed based primarily on Steam's "achievement unlocked" notification. And TF2 is what I have primarily been playing that unlocked achievements lately.
Now if only I could get the Widowmaker and the Short-Circuit ...
The fairy wars begin here. This installment was made almost entirely while having not slept well in ages (which also caused the delay) and with music from Ten Desires stuck in my head.1
First of all: don't worry, I'm going somewhere with the Remilia panel. That said ... This storyline is equivalent to that of the game, if not identical; i.e. Cirno runs into each character in the same order, even if it's not a straight-up videogame danmaku-duel ... Star's description of fairies' potential is pretty much taken directly from Strange and Bright Nature Deity and the ingame dialogue (though the real problem is, of course, "getting even four fairies to focus on the same thing for more than five seconds"). That said, I'm doing my best to keep it fresh; it's too early for the changes brought about by my Alternate Universe Timeline to have really asserted themselves, so it's kinda just me putting my own spin on things.
The "Achievement Notification" and the silhouettification in panel 72 are in competition for the position of "the panel I spent the most time working on"; I don't think I'll do too many more "achievements," don't want to overuse it. Also, the "sunset" tint is completely reused from when it was in Create.swf Adventures.
Star's title (or the main part) is adapted from her ingame-title in Route A-1. Man, I'm not sure what I'm actually gonna do with all these 17s lying around ...
