Two things: 1. not Nekokayou today (maybe tomorrow) because I'm dead tired and may or may not have gotten as much as six and a half hours of sleep last night, and 2. comments now require validating username/email. If anything's broken, the contact form does not require validation Okay, after getting 31 emails last night with subject "oh", body "oh", from "oh <oh@gmail.com>", the contact form now does require validation.

So, this means I don't have to type in my unholy long e-mail address every time? Or is that an added bonus?

MrChips

Of course, now I have to remove the space between Mr and Chips - but I no mind, really

Hmmm? I didn't need to remove my space. Had to stick the two space-separated parts of the confirmation URL back together manually, but it's worked just fine.

Oh b'duh. I forgot to set up the email to account for spaces in usernames and stuff like that. Fixed now!

And yeah, I also forgot to mention, I also have added cookies for saving your username/email/etc, which is a separate thing.

Wolf

Well get plenty of rest then. Also, I just tried the valadation of my e-mail and name to be used here, so here's hoping things work out ok.

As for the cookies thing it makes it a lot easier to post something without typing my email and name every time now, so yays for convince here. :p

Let's hope this helps, then...

Huzzah, validated. Hopefully that stops the trolls.

And I noticed the cookies for the name and e-mail fields, but Google Chrome saved what I put in there anyway. Ah well, one less step.

Sleeping for only 6 hours is bad for health D:

Spirit Tsunami

Meh, I find that 6 hours of sleep is ideal, and that if I fail to wake up after 6 hours, I have to end up sleeping twelve hours to feel properly rested.

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

For the record, I have now gotten about eight and a half hours of sleep. And I still feel like I wish I hadn't gotten out of bed ...

On an unrelated note, I have noticed there is some kind of login down there... yet I haven't seen any way to register.

MWchase

Logging in is quite a separate matter, and, I believe, of low priority at the moment, unless this site gets more contributors (which I'm guessing is unlikely, because, well... it just doesn't make sense when I think about it, is all.)

In short, only one person logs in, and that person logs in as Muffin, because he is Muffin, logged in as Muffin. I forget whether any of that is hardcoded, but it's not like it matters to us.

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

Yeah, it's for me to login and edit the site.

RegalStar

Doesn't seem to bother me one bit, not that I post much anyways.

Also, I just noticed - what does this "OPTMSG" just above the text fields mean?

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

It means I am a nineball and forgot to change a variable name. |3

Wolf

It seems the footnote number setup is not working at the moment KM, so I thought I should let you know about that.

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

Define "not working"?

Wolf

Well it only uses the number in the CAPTCHA part and doesn't include the footnote number at the moment.

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

... What? When I'm logged out, I can see it just fine, on both the comments-page and the contact form. Could you be more specific? (Never say "it" when asking for tech support.)

sRc

oh he's probably hitting the bug I hit a while ago, KM, where its only showing "Which is." and not a number. I think I was going to tell you about it (might even have along with another bug report) but then it fixed itself so it didn't matter.

8

sRc

uhh, how that 8 got there I don't know, because it was in the CAPTCHA box and not in the body... after failing it twice because it didn't count it correctly...

5th try posting again, it keeps failing because "(The numbers did not match.)"

lets try it without anything in the CAPTCHA box...

sRc

okay I think I get his bug now, its not adding the two together, just going by the first number alone (or by an empty box, apparently). testing...

Dizzy H. Slightly Voided

I have found the bug. It was doing "If the number specified is the sum of the two given numbers, or if you are logged in, throw a CAPTCHA error." I have no idea how it got that. Especially since it was already in an "Only check these errors if you are not logged in" section.

Khiash

Don't worry 'bout it Muffin, I'm sure we all won't mind waiting for quality work as opposed to crappy rushed junk! =D

musicalExpirator

I just have one thing to say about all these wonderful things you are doing.
Hooray!
