So, today is Towel Day, in which fans of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy carry around a towel in honor of the late Douglas Adams (1952-2001). It seems like it was only yesterday they were posting a video on the H2G2 of him sitting up in a bathtub and wishing everyone a happy H2G2's birthday. I always carry around a towel when I ride my bike (it's one of my "emergency supplies" for biking), and it is in fact Hitchhiker's Guide merchandise, so that's even cooler. I suppose I'll have to mention this to my coworkers as well (lol retail).

At some point, Eoin Colfer is expected to finish writing the sixth book in the "trilogy." I am certain he is aware that if he does not make this live up to the legacy left by Douglas Adams, he's gettin' taken home in an ambulance (though Towelday.org said simply that it "made a lot of people angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move" ...)

By the same token, it is also the Glorious 25th of May. Hats off to you, Sam Vimes ...
