Characters: Sakuya Izayoi, Remilia Scarlet, Alice Margatroid, Flandre Scarlet, Patchouli Knowledge, Watatsuki no Yorihime, Watatsuki no Toyohime
Transcript
- (Sakuya stands in the mansion's hallway in a Dio pose, holding her broom.)
Sakuya: Hallway cleaning complete! - (Remilia enters, the same size as Sakuya and with Toyohime's hairstyle. This startles Sakuya.)
Remilia: Excellent work as ever, Sakuya!
Sakuya: M-Miss Remilia!? You've ... grown up! - (Remilia explains to Sakuya; inset is a sort of diagram of PC-98 Alice becoming modern Alice.)
Remilia: Yes, I got Patchouli to reverse-engineer the self-aging magic that the doll-maker's been using.
Sakuya: Ah, I see. Ah, might I ask why you've chosen to do this? - Remilia: Because in these peaceful days, a devil in Gensokyo has to do all she can to get taken seriously!
SFX: Also so I can have boobs! (not pictured in create.swf)
Sakuya: I, er, don't think there was anyone who was taking you any less seriously than they would otherwise.
Remilia: (aside) What're you implying?
Sakuya: (aside) Mmm, nothing. - (Remilia preens.)
Sakuya: You do look rather impressive, Mistress.
Remilia: Mhmm.
Sakuya: Nice hairstyle, too. It kind of reminds me of, ah ... hmm ... - (Remilia has become comically pissed off.)
Sakuya: (sweatdrop) Ah, yes, that princess we met on the moon ...
Remilia SFX: twitch
SFX: fistclench - (In the library, Flandre is either using Four-Of-A-Kind or is just that hyper.)
Flandre: Make me big too!
SFX: bounce

Patchouli: .... sigh .... - Patchouli: FINE THEN I'LL GIVE YOU THE AGING SPELL JUST TO SHUT YOU UP!
Flandre: Yay! - (In the basement; Flandre looks substantially bigger now (and also more annoyed), and has Yorihime's hairstyle.)
Flandre: I don't like how my voice sounds now!
Patchouli: (sweatdrop) Well, Flan, that sort of thing happens to people as they get older ...
Flandre: I don't care! Change it back! - (Enter Remilia.)
Remilia: Change our hair back, too!
Patchouli: (sweatdrop) Mxlnt ... - (Cut to Toyohime and Yorihime in an orchard, with Remilia and Flandre's hairstyles.)
Yorihime: Hmm ...
Toyohime: Mmmm ... nah, it just isn't us.
1While we're on the subject, ZUN seems to have made the actual end of Silent Sinner in Blue about fifty times more wacky than anything that has ever appeared in this comic and likely ever will.

oh ho ho, Sakuya's antics never cease to amuse me.
I'm all for grown up Scarlet sisters. Think of all the charisma they just earned... and boobies! Well, only in imagination.... ah, boobies -Dan has a very creative imagination-.
As always, the little details you use make things all the better.

I actually really like the grown up Flandre, despite not really liking Flan all that much. And poor Patchy! She probably stays in the library just so she doesn't have to deal with nutjobs all the time.

What happened in Silent Sinner in Blue? I haven't payed attention since I decided that it was really about the PC-98 character having gone to the moon, which was part of the cause for the Lunar Unrest. The rest was the Makai tourist agency.

Um ... I'm not sure what you're confusing Silent Sinner in Blue with, because it involves the SDM crew, Yukari, and the Watatsuki sisters (who don't appear in any of the games). There's no PC-98 characters at all, unless you really want to count Reimu and Marisa.
As for what happens, the story so far: the Watatsuki sisters have been using Mary Sue hax to fight off Remilia's invasion of the Moon (she brought Reimu, Marisa, Sakuya, and some nameless maid-fairies), which ends with the "invaders" getting sent back home on threat of Gensokyo getting destroyed, and Yukari gets tied up. Yukari gets a Just As Planned! grin, however: the SDM crew was just a distraction so that Yuyuko could sneak onto the moon and steal some 1000-year-old peach sake (and incidentally makes the Watatsukis look like complete idiots). Remilia then invites Marisa and Reimu over to the SDM for a pool party. In the library. In winter.
So, yeah. If I wanted to seriously spoof SSiB, I'd have to top that.

This is why yukari is awesome, massive moon invasion to get booze for her and her "Best Friend".
Also poor patch patch, the things she has to do to keep mooching off her best friend.

Flandre's original create.swf hairstyle isn't really that great (or that close to the original). She doesn't even have that side-ponytail thing... oh well, most of the older create.swf characters could be improved on... a lot. Also, Yorihime in that last panel sorta looks like Tsukasa from Lucky Star. Well, only because of the short hair, hair color, and the bow.
Dizzy H. Slightly Voided
Yeah, I know ... on both counts.
Yorihime looks even more like Tsukasa with the "Flandre" hairstyle ...
Rabbit
You may be on to something there...Toyohime and Yorihime as Kagami and Tsukasa. Also, holy cow, Patchouli has HUGE eyes.

...That was it?
Yukari is even more petty than I thought.
What you read earlier was a synopsis of my weird "What SSIB should have been" idea.
Dizzy H. Slightly Voided
@Rabbit: Nah, that's just her "sleepy eyes" that I always see her with.
@wynber: Where'd you get that idea? ``

Of course, keep in mind that according to Cage in Lunatic Runagate was Eirin who started the unrest on the moon; by having Reisen 1 telepathically ask the other moon rabbits if there were any rumours of unrest and spies on the Moon. Thus causing rumours of unrest and spies to occur. Eiren then "fixed" the problem; thus ensuring the Watatsuki sister's "owed" her; which would discourage the Moon from hunting Kaguya.

... As a fan of Light Yagami and Revolver Ocelot, I approve of this. (Incidentally, I should watch Gargoyles so I can become a fan of David Xanatos as well.)
So, this marks the first time I've given a character the hairstyle of another character, and anyone's actually noticed this in-character. Given how their trip to the moon turned out, I don't imagine Remilia would take "you look like one of the Watatsuki sisters" as much of a compliment.1
Alice's "self-aging spell" was sort-of described in Perfect Square; she's been using it to "adjust her own appearance" as Marisa actually aged.
As of 29 September 2009, I have finally gotten around to remaking the comic, since the entire SDM crew except Koakuma have been updated! It was mostly just "insert updated characters into existing comic," although since I'd had to recreate Flandre's basement, panels 9 and 10 were entirely redone-ish ... to the extent that everything's still in place. It's like in the Deep Space Nine episode "Trials and Tribble-ations" where they had to recreate the model for Space Station K-7. The original version, of course, still exists. (And in it, Yorihime and Toyohime have the wrong hairstyles around.)
Um ... shame about the library's background, though ... and now that more of SSiB has been actually translated, it's not clear if Remilia actually met Toyohime. Oh well ...
