Touhou Nekokayou: Scarlet Weather Archive in Japanese Red #31

First Previous Random Next Latest

Characters: Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, Flandre Scarlet

I think this idea came to me while I was battling Flandre in the game itself. (For those of you not in the know: Flandre, like all EX-bosses, is invulnerable to the player's bombs/spellcards when she's in spellcard mode. She signals this by turning into a bat when you bomb.) Not that there's really much ambiguity in the game as to which one is which, but ...

The game is also not as insane and crammed as it is in the third panel, either, but that's mostly because there's simply more room for everything, and you only had one character on your side.

The spellcard background was ripped from the game, as was the bat-sprite. (Incidentally, I spent way too much time messing with the effects on the spellcard text. And nobody's going to really notice or care anyway, natch.)

    Marisa: That one.
