YUKARI: Ah, hello, Alice.

ALICE: ... Hello, Yukari.

YUKARI: A bit paranoid, are we?

ALICE: I'm sorry, I just got a call from Marisa telling me that Mima had just told her about some sort of vague, unspecified Incident which she said might end up coming here.

YUKARI: And you prepared for the worst, even knowing it was me?

ALICE: I'm not taking any chances.

YUKARI: Oh, really? In that case, my apologies.

ALICE: And I'm sorry for startling you. So what brings you here, then?

YUKARI: I just wanted to have a little chat with you about what you and Marisa are planning on doing. Just making sure you both understand the full ramifications of it all.

ALICE: Oh gods ...

YUKARI YAKUMO, as you understand it, is the co-creator of GENSŌKYŌ, or at least the HAKUREI BORDER sealing the land from the OUTSIDE WORLD back in 1884 (by the OUTSIDE WORLD's calendar). On a good day, you and your friends are reasonably amicable towards her, and you owe her for a few past happenstances, but YUKARI tends to FOOL AROUND enough and in enough ways that she's a suspicious character, even to other YOUKAI.

Put it another way: you can give her the benefit of the doubt, but it isn't clear how much doubt there is. She's also not the first person you'd expect to worry about your plans. It looks like this is going to lead to verbal STRIFE no matter what.

> Alice: CONVERSE TECHNIQUE: This is none of your business.
> Marisa: Beat up innocent bystander Stage 1 Boss Fight

chimi

Silly teejeh, Mima was the 1-Boss.

> Alice: "So, what part of this plan are you objecting to?"

Mstrswrd

>Yukari: Retrieve arms from gaps.

CapedLuigisYoshi

> Search room for business cards with unintentional innuendo

Alice: "Will you leave me alone if I lend you my Alice decoy doll?"

But more seriously

Alice: Tell Yukari that IF the spell works, you only intend to use it once.

teejeh

Nah, chimi, between timing and battle length Mima was clearly only the Stage 1 Mid-Boss.

Cuddly Cthulhu

I love how all the dolls have swords, and then one has a gun.

Tosanu

Yukari: Retrieve arms from Alice

Alice: "Give those back!"

KurisuMurei

@C.C.: Well, Alice did mention using quite a bit of gunpowder in the creation of some of her dolls (Particularly the ones used for Artful Sacrifice and Return Inanimateness), so...Yeah, I'm kinda missing the point.

D00D64

Yukari: Deploy psyche locks.

Kimiko Muffin

@Cuddly Cthulhu: I was going to make another doll with a gun, but I ran out of room. ;3

@Morgan, on the previous page: It's not the commands I can't accept, per se. It's the ones where I can't imagine why they'd think I'd even consider using 'em, like "Yukari: Eat your hat" or "Mobster Kingpin: ... do anything in an adventure that isn't even remotely related to Problem Sleuth."

Atmos Blitzer

Dolls that are armed with swords, bigger swords, and A GUN.

Win.

Bocaj

@KimikoMuffin: A CYOA-esque setup brings forth terrible urges to vote for silly things for the sake of chaos and whimsy.

Also, because it hasn't been said enough, a doll with a gun. Awesome.

Young Demon Lord

Aha! Mima followed my command by ignoring it completely! I knew I could get one more in! ;-P

Morgan

Huh. I thought it *did* seem related, which is why I suggested "Be Mima" in the first place. At least, she seems to think she's watching something funny, so I thought her perspective would be interesting.

That, and you've gotten me interested in other characters that I previously had no interest in, so I'm interested in seeing what you could do with Mima if she got some more screen time as not-quite-an-adversary.

... On the other hand, she knocked out Cirno for no apparent reason in this story, so I should probably be mad at her for a while. `.`
