MIMA: Oh, come now! Is that any way to greet your old mentor, who taught you how to use magic? MARISA: Hah. I've toldja before and I'll tell ya again: you gave up all claims to authority over me when ya tried to kill me in that business with th' Stone of the Celestials. As far as I'm concerned, yer just like any other ghost in Gensōkyō. MIMA: You know that I am an evil spirit, not a ghost. MARISA: Whatev! Same diff. MIMA: As unchanged as ever, I see. How is Alice doing? MARISA: All the better fer yer askin'. What didja do to the fairy? MIMA: I decided that she would be too distracting while you were here, so I gave her a firm thump on the head. I would not want for you to miss the fun, after all.

MIMA is almost always bad news. When she isn't, she's only conditionally good. She isn't GODZILLA levels of dangerous or threatening (but then, neither is anyone else in GENSŌKYŌ), and it's true that she's the reason you're a full-fledged MAGICIAN, but this isn't the time to lower your guard. Mima showing up could mean anything.

You are about to engage in STRIFE by way of MODUS: CONVERSE, and that commands must be presented as instructions for what to say or talk about. You quickly realize that it is a highly experimental STRIFE MODUS, and therefore might be a bit buggy. It seems to use the RUNNING SCHEMA, which means that lines of dialogue will be added piecemeal, as opposed to the SYNTHESIS SCHEMA, in which the entire conversation is synthesized at once from commands. You, Marisa, are of course the only one who can accept commands for this particular STRIFE. Ready?
