The doctor declared my wrist fully healed, and that I no longer needed the wrist-bracer. So, that's a yay.

My cell phone, a Samsung Convoy 2, has been no end of frustration for the past two days. It failed to alert me about stuff on my calendar two days in a row, causing me to miss an appointment yesterday (I was expecting the one today since it was the doctor's appointment and I was paying more attention because I don't trust my phone anymore). The situation was made all the more annoying by the fact that it worked fine when I tried to test whether it was working. I've also never managed to get "Remind every [x amount of time]" to work, either. Setting aside the difficulty in getting email tech support from Radio Shack (the guy at the store itself gave me a phone number even though the problem was with my phone), I was eventually instructed by email to do a factory reset on my phone. This had no effect whatsoever on the problem, and now I can't connect to the internet on my phone, thus preventing me from getting at my backed-up contact list.

Aaaand my money situation is still there and I can't afford anything like Saints Row 4 which just came out today and I can't even find a job and blehhhhh.

So, uh, I'm just plain perpetually annoyed right now

The last time I was laid off, I sent out 30+ job applications, went to 5+ interviews, and got a new job within 2 weeks. Assuming your programming skills are better than mine, you don't have to jump through hoops for immigration, and your job-search advisor is giving you the right advice, why on earth are you still unemployed after 2 months?

You've told me you don't like schedules and you don't want to be beholden to a boss or a company. But I figured that at this point you've become desperate enough to sign the next 3 years of your life over to an employer. Even the people I know who are living the dream and being their own boss have had to work for someone else for a couple years.

Well, part of it is, I don't have a car, so I can't JUST send applications out indiscriminately to every potential employer within 50 miles. It's either within biking distance or it's a no-go.

My job-search-advisor kind of got mad at me when I didn't accept the last job, and we broke off for a bit pending the results of this hearing I'm going to next week. Also, I'm just plain terrible at looking for stuff.

In other news: ahahaha it looks like my phone's permanently broken somehow. While we were trying to figure out what was wrong with the calendar, I did a factory-reset. Now, any attempts to access the apps or internet in any way gets a "NOT SUPPORTED" message. The calendar itself still "works" ... whee ...
