DA WHEEL OF FEIT EEZ TURNEENG. I slept over at my mom and stepdad's house last night (hence why no Create.swf Adventures today), and it was fun apart from being stuck on my Crappy Lappy. Here's what I got so far:

  • Buckaroo Banzai's Adventures Through The Eighth Dimension from Chaoseed.
  • Audiobook of The Secret by Rhonda Byrne (long story).
  • Scott Pilgrim volumes 5 and 6. (I got 3 and 4 on my own.)
  • A $10 Amazon gift certificate (I'll wait to see what else I get).
  • A $10 Starbucks gift card.
  • Two $50 checks, respectively from my aunt and paternal grandfather.
  • $30 in cash to be put forth towards Sam & Max Season 2 (my mom couldn't figure out how to do Send As Gift).
  • Miscellaneous snacks and stocking-stuffers.

Tomorrow will be Christmas with dad, and Monday I'll be going back to my mom's for celebrations with my maternal grandmother and her wife (yeah, it's an official marriage now). And then at some point I'll supposedly get something from the same aunt who gave me the Starbucks gift card, I think.

OMG, I didn't think anyone else played the game you reference. (I'll leave the name out so others can guess). What do you think of that balance patch that is out in arcades in Japan?

Anyways, cool stuff. For me at least, Starbucks is always appreciated. And after playing through it, I do recommend Sam and Max Season 2. It is epic, awesome, and hilarious.

I have no idea of anything about the balance patches on a game that isn't on the same continent as I am, and I'm limited to PC anyway. :P

I know what game you mean. It has a color. (Much like I HAS A FLAVOR)

Your mom 'couldn't figure out Send as Gift'...does that imply she actually USES Steam to begin with? If so...Awesome.

And my congratulations to your grandmother and her wife! :D

She wasn't using Steam, I linked to the Telltale Games website on my Christmas list.

>The Secret
Whoever paid for that got scammed Muffinbro. Still, if you're happy w/e.

I'm visiting family and my cousin got me "The Killing Joke" so that's made my year. I got other awesome stuff (clothes, chocolate, jetlag) but I'm not gonna use your site to brag.

I KNOW the game you are referencing like it was my own life story, Scott Pilgrim is awesome, and congratulations to your grandmother! Merry Christmas!

@Jays: To be fair, even if the whole "If you want something hard enough the universe will literally change itself to meet your desires" thing is BS, it is true that positive outlook is positive, and focusing on a goal will get the job done a lot better than just worrying about failure. (And also, your subconscious is a lot better at finding opportunities, means of doing stuff, etc. than your conscious mind, so focusing the latter helps getting the former on the job. There's prolly a healthy dose of confirmation bias there, too ...)
